നെടുമങ്ങാട് തെക്കുകര പറണ്ടോട് ദേവീ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനു സമീപം സ്വാതിയിൽ ബി.സുനിൽ ശർമ (55) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. കരകുളം കാച്ചാണി മോനി എൻക്ലേവിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന സുനിൽ കെഎസ്ആർടിസിയിൽ കണ്ടക്ടർ ആയിരുന്നു.

റോഡിലൂടെ പോയ കാറിനു മുകളിലും കൊമ്പ് വീണെങ്കിലും യാത്രക്കാർ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. കാച്ചാണി ജംക്ഷനിൽ നിന്ന് ഹൈസ്‌കൂളിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന റോഡിൽ രാത്രി ഏഴോടെയാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്.

റോഡരികിൽ നിന്ന വർഷങ്ങൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള കൂറ്റൻ മാവിൻ്റെ ശിഖരമാണ് ഒടിഞ്ഞു വീണത്. പരുക്കേറ്റ സുനിൽ ശർമയെ ഉടൻ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളജ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും മരിച്ചു.
