**കൊല്ലം:** കടയ്ക്കലിൽ വീട്ടിൽ അതിക്രമിച്ചു കയറി മുളകുപൊടി എറിഞ്ഞ അജ്ഞാത സംഘം മധ്യവയസ്കൻ്റെ കാലുകൾ തല്ലി ഒടിച്ചു.

കൊച്ചാറ്റുപുറം സ്വദേശി 52 വയസുള്ള ജോയിക്കാണ് മർദ്ദനമേറ്റത്. രാത്രി ഒൻപത് മണിയ്ക്കാണ് മൂന്നംഗ സംഘം ജോയിയെ വീട്ടിൽ കയറി ആക്രമിച്ചത്.

കമ്പി വടി കൊണ്ടുള്ള അടിയിൽ ഇരുകാലും ഒടിഞ്ഞു. വീടിന്റെ മുൻ വാതിൽ തല്ലി തകർത്ത് അകത്ത് കടന്ന സംഘം ഹാളിൽ ടിവി കാണുകയായിരുന്ന ജോയിയെ മാരകമായി ആക്രമിച്ചു.

മുറിയിൽ ഉറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്ന 85 വയസുള്ള അമ്മ കമലാഭായി എത്തിയപ്പോൾ കണ്ടത് രക്തത്തിൽ കുളിച്ച മകനെ തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള ബന്ധുക്കൾ വഴി കടയ്ക്കൽ പൊലീസിനെ വിവരം അറിയിച്ചു.

പൊലീസ് താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ചു. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. അവിവാഹിതനാണ് ജോയി. പ്രതികളെ കണ്ടെത്താൻ പൊലീസ് അന്വേഷണം ഊർജിതമാക്കി.
